Theological Training
“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” 2 Timothy 2:2
“God will not hear your prayers unless you cry and weep,” a friend was told by a Zhuang sister in Christ. Where did this come from? It's true that at times believers would be moved to tears as they interceded before God, but that did not nullify other times of prayer. This particular sister has had a sincere hunger to know God, but misunderstanding happen. Many cults and heresies have resulted from inadequate Bible teaching. Pray that the Zhuang believers would be firmly rooted in the Word of God and lead by the Holy Spirit in understanding spiritual truth (John 16:13).
Various training options have been setup by both foreign and local believers. Some occur for a few days on a regular basis, others are several months at a time. Regardless of the format, these are opportunities for hungry believers to grow in Christ though in depth study of the Word as well as extend periods of fellowship with other like minded believers. Pray for those that are leading these courses as well as those who take part. Pray also that believers would grow in their relationship with God, not just in knowledge of His Word.
Praise:
1. For several young believers that want to know God better.
2. For local house churches that equip believers through the study of the Word as well as practical experience in sharing the gospel.
3. That the Zhuang woman with the dog bit is now completely healed and back in her village.
Pray:
1. That God would raise up more godly leaders for the growing Zhuang church.
2. That young Zhuang believers would be solidly grounded in the Word. That they would be able to discern truth from error.
3. For Bible teachers, that they would not grow weary in teaching the Word under sometimes difficult physical conditions. That their lives would reflect God's truth.
