"What is more, I consider everything
a loss compared to the surpassing
greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my
Lord, for whose sake I have lost all
things. I consider them rubbish,
that I may gain Christ and be found
in him, not having a righteousness
of my own that comes from the law,
but that which is through faith in
Christ, the righteousness that comes
from God and is by faith."
Philippians 3:8-9
Recently a local student commented,
“I will not attend student
association meeting any more.
Because, I found the best thing in
my life, I have no extra time to
spend for these things. I would like
to know more about my Lord.”
What an exciting thing to hear this
students hope in our Lord! What God
changes a life, it's for real! A
small group for students was
recently started. They are very
passionate about Jesus and want to
learn more and more about Him. It
has just started, but it is so great
to see changes in their lives.
Please pray for our college friends,
that they may grow up continually
and that they will share their
experience with their friends.
Praise:
- For the faith and growth of
college and university students
in a major city.
- For a relative of a Zhuang
student in another city that
recently made a decision to
follow Christ.
- That a foreign family has
received direction regarding
their future area of service.
- A writing system for several
Zhuang dialects has finally been
approved. This means it is
finally “legal” to produce
literature in these dialects.
It's also the first step in
Zhuang literacy for people
speaking these dialects.
Pray:
- For high school students that
made decisions several months
ago. They are being watched at
their school and are not allowed
to have visitors. Their faith
has suffered as a result. Pray
that God would given them a
renewed hunger for His Word and
that they would grow spiritually
even if there is no outside
help.
- For wisdom and guidance for up
coming Christmas activities.
That many more would have the
opportunity to hear the story of
God and His love for all the
earth.
- For a beginning of a small
business that would like to
train up local Zhuang staff to
“know Him and make Him known”.
- Pray that students who come to
know Christ would learn how to
effectively share the good news
with those would in their
hometown or village that would
otherwise never have the
opportunity to hear.
