The First Time
"May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting?  You are bringing some strange ideas to our ears, and we want to know what they mean." Acts 17:19b-20

A group of foreigners were recently hosted by a local tourist guide at his house.  As is customary with the Zhuang, two Zhuang women sang a welcome song and offered their guests a small glass of rice wine (36-58% alcohol).  The foreigners reciprocated with their own song in English.  When asked what it meant, an opportunity to share the good news was given.  This was the first time the Zhuang host and his family had to hear the good news, despite the fact that tens of thousands of tourists pass through their picturesque village yearly.  They were eager to hear more!

A follow up visit later on gave some more opportunities to share.  Several distractions, however, including visits by prefecture and provincial leaders meant that this village still has not yet really come to know the One who created them and loves them.  Please pray for them and many other villages like theirs that have not yet had a chance to hear.
