The dear Christian Tai Lue woman (wife, mother, & grandmother) that has inoperable cancer spreading within her body is in good spirits and continues to be a shining witness for the Lord.  She is experiencing pain, but has a laugh in her voice and a sparkle in her eye.

At the end of May, a young Tai Lue Christian woman, a member of the translation team, died tragically from a severe, acute asthma attack (or from malpractice by the local clinic doctor who treated her).  This has been a tremendous shock to her family, friends, and the translation team.

The Bible translation work continues to move ahead slowly.  Genesis and Exodus have been translated and the translation team is currently working on Leviticus.  The Genesis and Exodus drafts now need to be checked, back translated, and revised.

Prayer Points

• Pray for Mrs. Y, her family, and relatives.  Pray that the Lord will do a miracle in her life and heal her of this inoperable cancer.  Pray that the Lord will use her testimony the challenge the lives of many nominal Tai Lue believers.
• Pray for the family of YK, her relatives, friends, and the members of the translation team.  May all who knew her realize that her life was not spent in vain, but that she died in the midst of serving her Lord Jesus Christ.
• Pray for the translation team as they continue to make progress in translating the Old Testament (for the first time ever).  Pray that the Lord will empower them by His Spirit to grasp His Words and to translate them with accuracy.
