Last week, the police came to arrest a Christian elder in a village.  Fortunately, or "by God's intervention", he had left very early in the morning.  The action still has the same effect, that is to instill fear and confusion in the lives of the common folk. Unfortunately, this is the means that the government uses to control people.  It is sad for the believers as it has meant that many of the Christians are unsure of where they stand.  They really have to count the cost.  

• Please pray for the Christians in Laos, many of whom expect to hear a knock at their door and then to disappear, similar to the Teacher.  
• Please pray for wisdom and boldness in the face of trials and tribulations.  May the Christians know what Jesus would have them say and do in this time of much confusion and uncertainty.  "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.  Matt. 5:11,12. 
• Please continue to remember the Teacher, who has been missing for 163 days now. Pray for his wife.  She has said she may move away from their home at the end of the year, if he is not heard from by then.
