One of the key elements in reaching out to the Tai Dam people will be the role of the Thai church! Close linguistically and geographically, as well as aware of customs and some of the culture, the Thai church are ideal messengers of the Good News! To date, the Thai church has been inconsequential in world missions with only a handful of people being sent out. However, things are changing and we are excited to see God begin to use His church here! Hearts are waking up to the missions call, and churches are getting behind those who feel God leading them on to new places! PTL. At present, one person has taken up the call to serve God among the Tai Dam.
1. Please pray for the Thai church, that they would grow in their understanding of the cultural differences there are between Thai and Tai Dam.
2. Pray for times of loneliness, when one can wonder if anyone still remembers them, still prays for them, still wants their vision realized! Sometimes, this is harder for Asians to experience, due to the family that always are around!
3. Pray for doors of opportunity to open before the Thai church. Pray that God will clearly lead them and protect them from the trap of the Evil One!!
