As many of you know, ten years ago very few knew about the Tai Dam. However, God has raised up a small team of people with the desire to see this people group come to know the Savior by the thousands! We praise God for faithful prayer warriors for the Tai Dam, an increasing Tai Dam church, Tai Dam leaders that are beginning to reproduce themselves, and Tai Dam groups meeting in most N. provinces of Laos. PTL.
But the focus for prayer this week needs to be on two other groups, which have yet to have any team form, who will begin work with them. These are the Red Tai and White Tai. All three groups are related Tai language groups, but the White and Black are more closely related. The Red is more distantly related linguistically. As accurate survey work is yet to be done, we would estimate there are up to 300,000 White Tai in Laos and Vietnam and possibly up to 100,000 Red Tai. Not large groups but still groups who have no one developing strategies to reach them.
- Pray God will have mercy on the Red and White Tai people and open new avenues to see more of them hear the Good News.
- Pray that God will raise up new workers to focus attention and prayer on the White and Red Tai. The Black Tai in Vietnam are also needing people to bring the Gospel to them.
- Pray for persons of peace who will act as bridges into Salvation for the Tai Dam of Vietnam.
