Praise God for another safe trip to Laos!  It was again a combination of travel modes...bus, boat, truck, plane, motorcycle, and tuk tuk (no horse drawn carriage!).

In meeting the Teacher, we were discussing the future work he hopes to do in evangelism and the work he is doing in the dorm.  It seems he had 10 students come for the beginning of the term.  One or two had their cell phones and other expensive "toys", so they really wouldn't fit in this "country" setting, where they kill their own chickens and raise their own pigs!!  Four other students took one look at the high school of 1800 kids and got very scared that they wouldn't be able to compete!  They came from a school where there might be 50 kids in all of the school!  At any rate, the Teacher and his wife are left with 4 kids plus their own son.

These kids are very wonderful and hard working.  One day while I was there, they had forgotten to grind the meal for the pigs, so they had to end up doing it in the dark!  Did I also tell you they have no electricity on the farm??  They have just a small generator and a tractor.  Needless to say, the kids work hard, but they also are the top kids in their class.
