The Tai Dam have been
"a people on the move" for many centuries. Originally moving out of China, the Tai Dam then moved around to escape Communism and wars. This was followed being moved around by governments, and now they find themselves being moved around due to financial pressures.
As the Tai Dam have typically lived in very prime land locations, they have found this to be a liability, as their land is the first to be taken by the government for infrastructure development with little or no remuneration. To help make ends meet, sons and daughters have sought work in other countries, including Malaysia.
Please pray for the encouragement of the folks working among the Tai Dam.
