Church Planters Conference
E, S, and F are expected to be here, as well as about 17 others from different tribal and Thai backgrounds.  All of those coming are actively engaged in ministry and we would appreciate your prayers: 

• Please pray for the 10 or so individuals doing the teaching. 
• Pray that the teaching would be clear and with much time for discussion and application.  
• Pray also for the logistics and travel.
• Pray that the conference would help people as they plan their activity and ministry for the next 6 months or so. 
• Pray that the participants be encouraged and built up in their faith to continue serving the King.

We will have a follow-up training session later in the year. 

 

Jesus Film DVDS  at the Taidam Lunar New Year celebration
There were close to a thousand in attendance. The governor of Iowa and his wife were there, as well as the former governor and his wife, who spearheaded the task force that resulted in the resettlement of the Taidam people back in 1975. At lunch time, only a handful of DVDS were passed out, with a few people giving an excuse not to accept it. However, by the end of the day, over 100 copies had been given away!!!

• We praise God for His favor and the responsiveness of the Taidam people. Thank you for your prayers, as without it our efforts would have little success.
• Please continue to pray for these one hundred individuals or families who will be watching the story of our Lord and Savior in the Taidam language for the first time

Thank the Lord for each member of the Tai Dam Bible translation team.  Ask Him to give each one the ability and perseverance needed to do his assigned part. 

• Pray also that the team members will be blessed as they grasp the meaning of the Scripture passages they are preparing for their people. Pray that the translation team be able to apply the teaching to their own lives.

Most of the books remaining to be translated are New Testament letters.  These are quite a bit harder to understand and translate than the narrative portions. 

• Please pray that the Lord will help the team understand how to translate these letters into Tai Dam accurately and clearly.
• Please continue to pray that God will open doors for His Word to reach Tai Dam people in the homeland, and that the Word will have a deep and lasting impact in their lives.
