Christmas
For many Tai Dam, the week of Christmas will pass just like any other week.  However for those who know the Savior, it will be a time of preparation and giving, as they look for ways to use the celebration for the glory of Jesus. As many in the West are dealing with the "political correctness" issues of what to call this holiday (Christmas or just the Holiday season), Asians are calling it for what it is...Christmas and a time of gift giving and sharing in peace and joy.  Sure most know little to nothing about Jesus or His birth, but they are playing Christmas (Christian) carols in the malls, in the streets, and on the airplanes!! Uncle P
Uncle P, the man who went to the short term Bible School for two months with his wife, continues to do well and is a great blessing to many. His interest in sharing what he has learned and the excitement with which he does it are very special.  He desires to go for the second two month training time, Jan - Mar, and the local Church is praying for funds to help send him and his wife.  As with many things good, however, Satan has a way to cause problems, and he is seeking to discredit Uncle through his speech.  Sometimes Uncle P will speak from the top of his head and not from a Scriptural standpoint. This is easy for all of us to do, but we pray he would learn more humility and say that "he doesn't know!" to some of the questions he receives.  Recently he has asked about ways to disciple a blind person, how to deal with a woman who has spirits bothering her, and several scriptural questions!

Intercessors Needed

The difficulties seem insurmountable in reaching the TD.  However, we are glad that this is God's work and, as such, will be accomplished in His time and in His way.  We do believe we need to see an increasing number of people committed to praying for their salvation and binding the strong man, who has kept them enslaved for so many years.

  • Please pray for new opportunities to raise awareness for this people group and for God to burden  hearts for spiritual needs of the TD.
  • Monthly Prayer Guide for the TD - Please pray for the team of people, who are seeking to put this guide together and who are responsible for researching the priorities for the Tai Dam.  This booklet, which we hope will be published in four months, will tell many stories about the Tai Dam life and history. The booklet will also help people know how to better pray for the Tai Dam.  Every booklet that has been done like this has experienced great opposition from the enemy, and we are finding the numbers of people in different countries hard to pull together.  Writing of the stories, typesetting, getting pictures, printing, and then distribution are all items that will need to be dealt with.
Travel and Encouragement
We will be traveling to Laos to encourage the brethren and hear of what they are experiencing. We will be teaching as we can and when we can. Pray for our lives be a blessing, encouraging the people to keep moving on in their obedience to the King of Kings.  Also, pray for wisdom and safety as we travel.
