January 2nd, 2006 - Slaves of a King
Tai Dam Quick Facts:
-Population of 1 Million
-Religion of animism and ancestor worship
-Settled agriculturists who cultivate wet rice
-Less than 0.1% are Christian
Historically, the Taidam arrived in
Thailand, when in the late 1700's, kings
from Thailand made war in the Taidam areas.
The Taidam were enslaved and taken back to
Thailand. They were forced to do manual
labor for the king.
Please pray for the Taidam, who have
accepted Jesus, that they will rejoice in
their freedom in Christ. Pray that these
believers would be true ambassadors for
Christ, devoted to one another in brotherly
love, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord,
rejoicing in hope, persevering in
tribulation, devoted to prayer, living
humbly with the lowly, and respecting what
is right. (Romans 12:10-13)
