Who would have believed that at this time he
would be sitting in a New Tribes Chronological
Teaching time for two months? Who would have
believed he was one of God's chosen people? Who
would have believed he would still be alive today?
Certainly, not many of the Black Tai people in his
village.
Proverbs 19:21- Many are the plans in
the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD
that will be established.
God had His eye on Uncle P long ago. However in His
providence, it took nearly 60 years and much
sickness to get him into His Kingdom! The Lord is
so patient with us!
Uncle P had been weak and not able to work for most
of his life. His trips to the hospital and/or
doctor are too numerous to count, and in the end,
this sickness was going to take his life. The
doctors had told him to go home and get his affairs
in order. However in this last surgery, Uncle had a
visit from another Christian man, who prayed for
him. Uncle P was humbled and desiring anything to
"hold" on to. At what point Uncle was saved by God
is anyone's guess, but he began to grow in faith.
A few days after the surgery, he sat up and started
to get ready to go home. The doctor asked him
where he was going. Uncle said, "Home. I feel
better and stronger than I have in many years!" The
doctor said, "No, you don't have the strength!"
Again Uncle said, "I have more strength today than I
have had for over 10 years!" The doctor did some
tests and was amazed to see the healing that had
happened in Uncle's body! God has done a miracle!!!
Last February, it was a privilege to be a part of
Uncle's and his wife's baptism. He has answered
many questions as best he could about his new faith
and miraculous healing, but he wanted to know his
Savior better. So he is now doing a 2 month Bible
study course at a training school. This time of
study and ministry for this 60 year old is quite a
chore, but he is truly grateful to have this
chance. Most of the folks at the training school
are young, so everyone is very blessed by Uncle's
life and testimony. God is up to great things in
this place. We just need the eyes of faith to see
it.
- Pray that Uncle
P and his wife would learn all they can.
He has a hard time trying to remember, due to
all the medication he has had to take over the
years!
- Pray also that
he would understand what God is calling him to,
once he returns home in a month.
- Praise God for His love and faithfulness.
