What this means is that the resources needed for a church planting movement to happen within a people group will be found in the new believers - evangelists, material needs, and the skills. The people we often need and the financial requirements can often be met, when we see new believers begin to exercise their gifts!! 

Even though the Tai Dam church is small, we are seeing a desire to tithe among new converts.  It is one of the things that is taught them very early on!  Faith is seeing the group, where she lives, tithe weekly. Even though it is not a lot, it is used to help those with nothing. 

One man we call Mr. Nate, is tithing profits from his soap making to Tai Dam evangelism.  Students that receive $10-$15/month to live on are tithing in obedience to God.  It isn’t so that God will bless them with more, “which is a common evil that can be taught!”  But they are learning to give in faith and trust God.  May God increase the resources as the Tai Dam spiritual harvest is increased.

In the West, when people become Christians, they often find themselves having more money than before!!  Good news, but the reason is that after believing in Jesus, we are able to stop the costly habits that enslaved us before.  The local bill at the pub is not as high, smoking has stopped, and the money from two packs a day finds its way into our pocket book!  PTL.  However, one aspect of the Western Church which hasn’t seen a reciprocal growth is the amount we tithe from week to week.  May the Western Church continue to grow in it’s stewardship role to the Glory of GOD.

Weaving training
This week, we will begin our weaving training for several Thai people. This will be a 2 week long period to teach,  to study, to share, and to have an actual hands-on weaving time.  Please pray that the training will give them a good start into weaving high quality items for export.  We also pray that the "light" that F and E are to these ladies will be very attractive.  For many of the women coming, this will be the first chance to experience the Light of His love. Please pray that He will continue to soften their hearts, prepare them for the two weeks together, and give F and E "eyes to see" the spiritual needs of these women. 

• Lord, we pray that your Spirit would break the bonds of ancestor worship, that these people have had enslaving them for the past few thousand years.  We ask that any ties to this "religion" would be broken, and we ask that You would be gracious to give them open and searching hearts.

One of the ladies has been more and more difficult to deal with. It seems like "money" truly is her god.  She has been divisive, uncooperative, and hard to really understand. 

• Lord, we pray that J would come back to Your love and Your Lordship in her life. We pray that her seeking after any and all that can give her financial gain would be seen for what it really is.
• Lord, may your Spirit visit these women in the next few weeks.  Give them dreams of Your love, forgiveness, and life.  We ask that strong relationships can be built that would be able to be encouraged and used for Kingdom purposes in the coming years.
