Tai Dam Quick Facts:
-Population of 1 Million
-Religion of animism and ancestor  worship
-Settled agriculturists who cultivate wet  rice
-Less than 0.1% are Christian
For many years, one of the thing that has impressed me (in a good and in a bad way) is the fact that the Christian women among the Tai Dam are the ones who are the most committed to the Lord, who do the most work for Him, and who have a desire to grow. Where are the Tai Dam Christian men?

There are quite a few in the US, who are able to lead and teach others. However when it comes to Asia, the numbers shrink to a mere handful. To be more specific, in Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam, there are only 3, with 2 more coming along.

Where are the MEN? As a man, one of the things which gives me an unsettled spirit is that I am working almost 100% with WOMEN. The women are the ones that apply the things that they learn. The women are the ones that obey the Scriptures, and the women are the ones who really have settled the issue that Christ is Lord. Where are the MEN? Spirit Doctors
The Taidam village will have one or two spirit doctors. This role is passed from father to son, and the initiate must undergo training in prayers, ritual forms, healing technique, and other kinds of sorcery.
