It has
been a long time in coming, but we have our first
opportunity to meet with Tai people here in this
country.
For
the first meeting, we are hoping to begin discussions to
talk about what their needs are regarding their
weaving. But we also hope to share about their
livelihood, family, and future directions for weaving
training. We look forward to the opportunity we have
and also for the Light that can be shared with them.
One
person in particular has asked numerous times how much
they will be getting paid to come to this time. For
some reason this one finds it all about money. As our
manager says, “We are going to have to wash her brain of
this thinking!!”
- Pray that God give
us wisdom and sensitivity during these days.
- Please also pray
that we would find a suitable place to have these
meetings.
The Taidam
Christians need constant prayer, so that they will
remain strong in the Lord. Living in a
culture
that is hostile to Christianity is stressful and
very difficult for all Christians.
Colossians 1:9-11
For this reason, since the day we heard about you,
we have not stopped praying for you and asking God
to fill you with the knowledge of his will through
all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray
this in order that you may live a life worthy of the
Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit
in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
being strengthened with all power according to his
glorious might so that you may have great endurance
and patience.
