Shan Quick Facts:
-5-6 Million Shan in Myanmar, Thailand, and China
-Speak a language related to Thai & Lao
-Most Shan are ardent Buddhists
-Missionaries began to reach the Shan in 1861
As God calls people to labor together with Shan brothers and sisters, workers emerge from different parts of the church with different gifts emphases and understandings of God's word.
Satan delights in bringing division to God's church. Outreach is significantly compromised both in word and deed when workers speak negatively of another's ministry.
•Pray for supernatural unity to be displayed amongst those who are seeking to share Christ with the Shan/Tai.
•There are several outreaches going on at the moment in North Thailand; English teaching, Shan literacy, film evangelism.
•Pray for eternal fruit! Pray that unity would be modeled to and displayed within the Shan Church.
•Pray for the Lord to give us fresh passion in our intercession for the Shan/Tai.
