Among the Shan-Tai in China,
Burma and Thailand,
zealous Shan Christian
workers are few and far between, like stars
shining in a crooked and depraved generation.
Burdened by a love that compels, long hours, very
modest lifestyles and something inside them makes
them persevere. They are Shan, but not "really Shan"
in the eyes of their Buddhist relatives because "to
be Shan is to be Buddhist".
Expatriate
workers need, expect and get times of
refreshing fellowship with other like minded
believers. Pray that our Shan brothers and
sisters would know deep and empowering
fellowship with Jesus, and gain the true
rest that they need.
- Pray for an
outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the lives
of those Shan who are seeking to serve the
Lord.
- Pray for signs
and wonders to accompany the proclamation of
God's word.
- There are
several short term teams preparing to spend
time with the Shan during the summer. Pray
for wisdom in their deployment and that
their involvement would be a blessing to
themselves and to the Shan-Tai.
