Opium, amphetamines, escorting "travelers"
through the jungles, illegal logging, working
for $1.20 per day (when there is work),
traveling to the city to find work there. The
choice of occupations is wide enough, but
what would you do if these were the choices
facing your family?!
Most
of those on $1.20 per day end up in debt as soon
as someone gets a cold or fever. Traveling to
the city often means family breakup and facing
even more temptations. Yet God is faithful! Pray
that new believers would prove God's
faithfulness by learning to trust in Him a day
at a time.

for Shan people to find creative ways of feeding
their families with integrity. Ask God to fill
your heart with compassion as you pray!

new believers have been baptized in a small
market town in China, in the past week there
have been the first signs of opposition with the
local headman saying that Shan-Tai should not
become Christians.

for Shan-Tai Christian leaders to lead by
example, living holy lives to the Glory of God.
