Mr. L turned up at a Bible study 6
years ago with a shot gun to force his
wife, N, home. L’s opposition to the
gospel has been violent, his notoriety
in the village unparalleled.
On Jan 18
th Mr. L beat up Mr.
N. who is a new believer. Another
Christian, went to speak to L wanting to
share that by picking on Christians, L
was in fact beating up on Jesus.
The Lord shut the door to their meeting
but the following day L turned up at T’s
house. On conviction by the Holy Spirit
L broke down and received Christ! He
confessed many sins and afterward went
around to Mr. N’s house asking to be
forgiven. L wants to be baptized but not
with the name L, which means “to offer” (i.e. to the spirit). Instead he wants
to be baptized with the name C which
means “skilled” (i.e. like a expert
craftsman).
- A man who had violently forced his
wife to leave her faith six years
ago has himself come to Christ after
beating up a new believer! Once
filled with hatred, pray that he may
now be filled with the Holy Spirit
and lead many others to Jesus! Pray
also that his wife would come back
to the Lord.
In one area of
North Thailand
14 people have
believed in the past three weeks. In
another area several others have
believed and four were baptized last
Sunday.
- Pray that the
Lord will raise up leaders gifted to
lead newly forming churches which
will be able to multiply. Pray for a
genuine movement of Shan-Tai to
Christ!
- A backslidden Christian family who's
father used to be in leadership is
facing tragedy. The eldest son (a father
with children) was killed in a car
accident yesterday. Please pray for the
funeral arrangements and for wisdom to
be given to those conducting the
funeral.
