Ten years ago "Tai Nua Christian" was a contradiction in terms. Today there is a small Tai Nua Church which has emerged in several locations. The believers have met some persecution and those reaching out have been questioned. The result is a growing church with local lay leadership with friendly relations with believers in different locations. There are still many areas where Tai Nua and Tai Long live and die without any knowledge of Jesus. Pray that as the Tai church grows it will be gifted and burdened to share the gospel far and wide.

• The leader of a Shan-Tai group in a prison in Thailand writes to say that it has become much harder to do ministry and literacy in Shan. The prison authorities have stopped meetings and become tougher on the Shan group. Pray for God to work out His purposes. The leader says that he still meets with 5 others and he has asked for more discipleship and literacy materials.
  
  
• The man whom we wrote of earlier this year after he had been poisoned has been found dead together with his wife. The news that was communicated was that the evangelist murdered his wife and then hung himself. Many people believe (Buddhist and Christian alike) however that both of these dear believers were murdered. Pray that the Church would keep on growing despite this tragedy. Pray that other evangelists in the area would be bold and without fear.
