Cult Activity
A strange authoritarian, legalistic group called “Two Ounces of Rice” has been gaining followers in ten nearby villages.  They teach that Christians can subsist on only two ounces of rice per day. This teaching is also linked to giving the finances saved from buying food to the group. There is already a follower in M village. Sliding Back
The man from P village who recently made a decision for Christ, had a week of not drinking but then has returned to his old alcoholic habits. Exciting Trip
Some members of the Bible translation team traveled five hours to a neighboring prefecture where the first Tai in this country came to faith ten years ago. This man, P challenged the spirits openly and was blessed by God. There are now estimated to be somewhere between 100 to 200 believers there. These Tai, farther away from the Tai cultural center, have no Buddhism. This removes some of the social barriers that hinder people here.
