House churches
in the TJL district: After many years of evangelizing
under tears, sorrow and hardship, signs of changes are on
the horizon. The Word that was sown is coming up. In some
villages, people are coming together. Many of them cannot
read. They don’t know yet how to worship God with their
heart, with songs and prayers. However, one thing they do
know for sure. The old life of the past they don’t want any
longer. They are tired of offering the spirits and going to
diviners to find out they get no real help. These
peoples have searched for peace in their lives without
finding it. Some of them where bothered by evil dreams. Now
Christians are coming together in their houses in three
different villages!
Praise:
- Praise
the Lord! Gods Word does not return empty! So neither he
who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God,
who makes things grow. Corinthians
3:7
Pray:
- For Christians in
the TJL area. Pray they will grow in their faith and will
not go back and forth in their beliefs, like the waves of
the sea.
- For the Pwo Karen
brothers, who consider going to and teaching the
Christians in the TJL area, will get confirmation as they
wait on the Lord.
- That spirit-heads,
diviners and headmen will accept the Christians in their
midst. Pray for those important people in the spirit world
that they will get to know the Lord Jesus as their
personal Savior.
- For unity among
the new believers. Pray that they will help each other
when they face trouble. Pray they will pray for each
other.
- For the ongoing
work of the Holy Spirit in this area. In other villages
are more people who have said to be interested in
following Jesus. Pray that the Light will overcome the
darkness.
