“However, I
consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I
may finish the race and complete the task the
Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying
to the gospel of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24
Evangelization:
An
evangelist lives in a Pwo Karen village with the
purpose to reach the Pwo Karen people in that
area. He has many contacts in different villages
and a few families are interested. As of this
month a young man, that has just finished his
Bible training, lives with the evangelist and
his family. The aim is that the two men will go
together on a motorbike to the far off villages.
In the evenings, they can visit the families in
the surrounding area. The Gospel will be
explained from the Old Testament. They will
explain that men cannot come into relation with
God without a Mediator (a sacrifice). The red
line through the Old Testament will end with the
story of the Lamb who died for everybody. After
that, the Jesus Film will be shown.
Praise:
- That the
Lord for the evangelistic materials that are
available in the Pwo Karen language.
Pray:
- Pwo Karen
people will come to faith as a result of
these teachings and showing of the Jesus
film.
- God will
prepare the way. Pray against obstacles like
drunken people, spirit heads, sorcerers,
superstition or other things that can hinder
the genuinely interested listeners from
understanding the Truth.
- For safety
for the brothers.
- For good
health, also for the wife and child that
will be alone at home often.
