Outreach in L
An evangelist living in HT has the vision to reach the Pwo Karen in the L Province. For a few months now, he has been living in his own house and has a plot of land to raise pigs. His wife has opportunities for evangelism through friendships with other moms while he goes out in the neighbourhood on the motorbike. He is using pictures of the Old Testament to show them that God is the Creator and owns the right to be worshiped. In the Old Testament the sacrifices are needed because the blood will take away their sins. After that, he tells them about the Lord Jesus and the sacrifice He made to redeem the sin of all people.

He has 4 children's books and 2 tracts for youth in the Pwo Karen language for handing out. The children's books have been translated out of Dutch while two Pwo Karen Christian artists made the tracts. The tracts are geared towards youth problems.

Praise:
     •Thank you Lord for knowing that Your Word will never return empty.
     •Thank you Lord for materials for evangelism in the mother tongue.

Pray:
     •Gods Spirit will break through in the L province where Pwo Karen people are very       much being influenced by Buddhism.
     •For good health of the evangelist, his wife and daughter.
     •For the evangelism in the neighbourhood and for the friendship evangelism, that       the seeds sown may fall on good ground.
     •For the village where the evangelist used to live. People chased him away       because a number of villagers wanted to believe in Jesus. Because of  pressure       from the spirit headman and harassment by other people, nobody dares to follow       Jesus yet. Please keep on praying for a spiritual break through.
