Brother S is one of the very few Lao Phuan who follow the Lord. He knows it will cost him to do so. Others in Laos have paid for their faith in Christ by enduring persecution, some have been imprisonment – some have paid with their lives.

Recently Mr. S had a talk with his wife and mother of their 5 children. He wanted to prepare her for the eventuality of his likely arrest. The conversation was qualified by the statement, “When I am arrested…” not “If I am arrested…”

• Many Lao Phuan know that following Christ is costly. They are afraid to respond to God’s grace. Suffering now doesn’t seem worth it. Fear rules. Pray against the fear!
