Uncle Bing had consumed a bit more whiskey than he should have and it made him very talkative.
“One day we are all going to die”, he announced, “and on that day we will stand before the Judge of the Living and the Dead and he will determine our fate.”
“But you’re a communist and don’t believe in such a thing,” someone replied.
“I am a communist,” continued Uncle Bing, “but it doesn’t matter what your belief or religion. The Judge of the Living and the Dead is supreme. He must be faced by everyone when they die. It doesn’t matter who you are, you will have to answer for the good and bad in your life.”
Uncle Bing went on in this vein for over an hour, the drink making him more effusive than usual.
- It would seem that the knowledge of the Judge and of judgment is written in the hearts of the Lao Phuan, just as it is written in the hearts of other peoples.
Pray that Phuan people would want to know more of the truth that is written on their heart (Romans 1:19) and that they would seek for the living God.
