Just Like You and Me
The Wongpa’s are a large Phuan family – Dad has 2 wives and these wives produced a total of 11 kids. The kids are all grown and the number of grandchildren is significant!
One of the grandchildren, 15 year old Victor, is severely handicapped, both physically and mentally. The thing Victor likes most is big trucks and heavy duty equipment: backhoes and excavators and bulldozers. His dream is to drive.
The other day, Victor‘s uncle was digging a fishpond on his brother’s property. And there was Victor, sitting on his Uncle’s lap, Victor’s hands on tops of his uncle’s on the controls – operating the big machine. The look of sheer delight on Victor’s face was unmistakable!
Families everywhere – including Phuan families – carry burdens of love and care for family members with difficulties. The Phuan may live in the remote northern regions of Laos but they are people just like us J

- That Phuan people will hear the good news that their heavenly Father loves them with a deep love and that he has sent his Son to be their savior.
- That Phuan families will be blessed with unity and love, faithfulness and mercy to the glory of God
