March 26-28 will mark a historical event. It will mark the dedication of the Mien Bible in its entirety. This means, for the first time, the Mien people will be able to hear the story/narrative of Scripture in its entirety in their own language.
The 29 Mien kids who board at the hostel during the school year are home in their villages for long weekend to celebrate Chinese New Year except for F, a 12 year old girl, whose father and new wife sell soya bean milk in Bangkok. F’s needs deep healing as her Mom was murdered when F was seven.
Praise God for regular and earnest attendance of about ten house wives at a evening prayer meetings twice a week. Pray their husbands will come to a Spirit-regenerated faith from their current nominal state. Pray that the Bible study at the prayer meetings will be used for the confirmation and growth of the attendants' faith.
Pray for continued guidance and open doors for linguistic and translation outreach to the Mun people (younger brothers of the Mien People - closely related to the Mien in history, culture and language) who are in great need for the Word in their language. Pray also for the Mien people who are currently reaching out to their brothers the Mun. Pray also, for more workers (foreign and domestic) for this rich harvest
