Mekong Workers and Spiritual Warfare
“A lot of spiritual warfare is won or lost on the battlefield of relationships between Christian workers. The devil’s main strategy seems to be ‘divide and conquer’. So be on your guard against the irritations and hurts and misunderstandings that will come up between you and your co-workers.”
Older missionary’s advice to a younger missionary

• Pray for all Mekong workers as they work with each other and as they work with local believers. Pray they will not be unaware of the devils attacks. Pray they will not give into pride or bitterness. Pray they will not be critical or insist on their own way and independence.
• Pray that Jesus’ prayer will be answered in every Mekong team – “that all of them may be one … that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:21

Phuan
315,000 Phuan people live in Laos and Thailand and most of them do not yet know Jesus. There are some Phuan believers but they are scattered and are not yet meeting together. Some are afraid of the consequences of meeting together. Some are hesitant because they have not had a chance to study the Bible or meet with other believers. Pray into being a group of Phuan believers within walking distance of every Phuan person.

• Praise that a few Phuan believers have started to meet – although very small.
• Pray for one Phuan lady who meets with 2 or 3 other ladies in her home behind closed doors and windows to pray and sing and study together. Pray for one Phuan couple who is studying the Bible with another couple. Pray for a Lao believer has just moved to another province in order to encourage and start a small house group of Phuan believers.

Wa
Recently the local political leader of a Wa District announced in a public meeting that government cadres are not allowed to believe in Christ despite the fact that religious freedom is offered to all. He also said that all cadres will be required to renounce their Christian faith in public. The reason for this move is that the Christian population is increasing. Many Wa believers are government cadres and they are facing tremendous pressure.

• Praise the Lord for His wonderful mighty works and pray His victory for every Wa believer engaged in this spiritual warfare.
• Pray for the Wa students who have completed or are still currently involved in Discipleship Training. Pray that the Lord will give wisdom to the teachers and enlighten the students so that they may come to know the Lord Jesus Christ more - and make Him known.
