Join us in asking for God’s kingdom to deeply penetrate Lao society. It is not enough for people to come to Christ. There needs to be a transformation of society at every level. We need to see God’s righteousness displayed in greater justice, good government, peace and security, loving families and care for the environment.
NK village is an example of the need for God’s kingdom to come. We have prayed that this village may be delivered from wicked and evil men. In one of the houses, a group of young men sell and are addicted to amphetamines. Some of their drug-dealer friends have 4 laptop computers for sale that are evidently stolen goods.
This village is crippled by fear. The village security patrol are too scarred to do their job so they nightly play cards in the village office or sit and drink in the local bar rather than patrol the village through the night. People are too scarred to turn in robbers and law-breakers for fear of revenge attacks. Likewise the police don’t dare act.
- Lord we ask that your kingdom will come in NK village releasing people from fear and giving them the courage to stand up against all wickedness. May peace and justice reign as the law is upheld. We ask that many villagers, including those drug dealers, will turn to Christ and start churches that will reproduce!
