MF’s older brother has a 16 year old son, MZJ, who has been battling a serious disease.  His family had spent in the range of 50 to 60,000 yuan for his medical care, leaving them bankrupt and in great debt.  The mother was herself injured about 5 years ago when a three-wheeled vehicle ran over her leg.  Due to lack of money and proper medical treatment, she is now crippled.

Through his aunt and uncle, MZJ and his parents began to hear about the One who cares for the hopeless and the hurting.  Christians began to take care of this young man around early December.  His condition took a turn for the worse and was hospitalized. He was having severe headaches, dizziness, and marked decrease in his vision.  There was really nothing more that could be done for him…except pray.  At the end of last week, his condition suddenly improved and today he is being released from the hospital.   Through this illness, MZJ and his parents have also come to faith.  They will probably be baptized soon after Easter. 

• Pray for his complete healing and the Lord’s provision for the needs of this family.

Late last fall, DM, came to the city.  She had suffered abdominal pains from the time of her marriage 15 years ago.  Their father said she also suffered from demon possession.  Her symptoms improved during a month in the city but returned soon after she went back to the province.  During the Chinese New Year holiday, she moved to the city along with her husband and four children.  As her family witnessed to her, she and her husband both wanted to trust Jesus as did their children.   In spite of believing, she had nightmares and pains that seemed to be related to spirits.  Two weekends ago she attended a Sunday fellowship for the first time.  While there she started behaving strangely in a way that the believers recognized as a manifestation of demonic influence.   Only after a half hour of concerted prayer did DM return to her right mind. 

Last Thursday a pastor and six other believers visited her to help rid her of the spirits.  During that visit she listed all manner of occult activity she had experienced and been involved in.  She renounced all of these in detail after both she and her husband had prayed to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior.  

• PRAY for these new believers to stand firm in their faith.  Pray that DM and her husband would be able to stand against future attacks by the enemy, who we know does not easily let go of his prey. 
• Pray for them to bring along their four children, ranging in age from about 7 to 14, in the knowledge of the truth.  While DM and her husband are both illiterate, the two older girls are able to read well and can read the Bible to their parents.  Recently, we had a study in Ephesians about the new man in Christ.

On this day, along with DM and her husband, another Bouyei woman prayed to receive Christ. 

• Please pray for this dear woman whose husband is addicted to gambling.  Although he is educated and owns their housing complex he has often asked to borrow ONE yuan! (about 13 cents).  He has squandered their money and dissipated his health: he chain smokes and has uncontrolled diabetes.  The bright side is that he is not opposed to her faith but actually says he approves of it, but that it is too late for him to change.
