"Please teacher, will you speak English to me?"
For many Bouyei in the country sides, English is their ticket to a new beginning, a new life. The Bouyei spend hours on the fields, from morning to sun down, year round, only to make less than the equivalent of 500 USD per year. Many are craving for a life apart from the back breaking work of farming. No only do they want to have the chance to make a better life for their families but materialism's allure is drawing many to greed.
Every summer, English camps are held in Bouyei areas as a way for Christian workers to meet young Bouyei people.
Please pray that:
•Bouyei young people would not be swept away by materialism, but instead would turn to Jesus to fill their empty hearts.
•Doors would open to teach English in key Bouyei county towns this summer.
•Short term workers would be raised up to come and give of their lives for the summer.
