3 million Bouyei people live hidden in the vast mountains of Southwest China's Guizhou province.   Guizhou province is perhaps the poorest province in China.  There is a famous saying about Guizhou, "There are not three days without rain, three pennies to spare and three square mu of flat land."   The Bouyei live simple lives as farmers.  Farmers will carve out the rocky and hilly slopes to form terraced mountains on which they plant their rice crops.   In one Bouyei area, there was a flood that killed many people, devastated the land, and corroded the land so that the Bouyei are no longer able to farm.

Please pray:

• That God's kingdom will reign across the vast mountain ranges where the Bouyei live.
• That families who have lost family and crops will not only be able to find jobs but also that they will encounter the one and true living God.
• For opportunities for Christian workers to minister to flood devastated families through community projects.
• That though they are poor, that they would be truly poor in spirit and enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3).
