There are no Akha dialect speaking people in the Vietnam and China border areas. There are Hani people. The dialect of Akha and Hani are very close - they can understand about 70 percent of the other’s dialect.

It seems that Kheu Khao, the Vietnam border areas are the original land of Akha people. They called it “Ja de country”. Akha people remember “Ja de” and they have cultural songs related to this place.

It is very encouraging to see 23 young believers worshipping our Lord on Sunday night in a Chinese town. These young people decided to set aside one couple to be full-time worker supported by the group themselves and not from outside. This group has divided into five groups and each group has a leader – a church multiplication movement has begun!
