Six years ago a private Christian elementary school was allowed to be set up to help meet the needs of the mass relocation of the Wa people. Almost the entire first group of students was overage (12 to 15 years old) to be beginning elementary school. Some of these had to drop out of school in order to work for their families to survive. Now this group of young adults has great potential for positive influence.

The Wa autonomous state is a state in Myanmar. The peoples that live in this state include the Wa, the Dai, the Lahu and the Han.

• Over 50 believers were baptized earlier this year. Please pray for their spiritual growth. Pray for a church planting movement that will spread to all Wa communities.
• Please pray for the relationship between the Wa autonomous state and the Myanmar government to be harmonious.
• Pray for the good news to spread effectively.
