Wa Quick Facts:
-The Majority of Wa live in Myanmar
- Famous for their past involvment in  headhunting and opium trade
-In the early 20th century Christianity  spread among the Wa living on the  Myanmar-Yunnan border area

The school semester started in September. As of this semester we focused on developing students Chinese writing abilities and English conversational skills. The breadth and depth of the teaching material has increased significantly. The students also feel the challenge. They need to put in more time and energy to complete the homework. Now, in the morning you do not see the students playing, but everyone is quietly in the classroom preparing for class. In the past 2 to 3 years, the students wouldn't listen no matter what you said, or how you tried to persuade them not to spend so much time watching videos which is not good for their health and studies. But this semester things seemed to have improved, we can only hope that the students continue in their diligent study and be able to overcome the temptation to watch videos and work hard at their studies.

Compared with last year, the rain this year is much greater not only in the rainy season but also into fall season. This has made traveling up and down the mountains extremely difficult, and consequently because of the situation, medicine is hard to get. Please pray for the health of the coworkers, students and villagers. Now, each village has running water from the mountain spring. With nutrition and sanitation conditions improved, praise the Lord, the number of sick has dropped significantly compared with 5 years ago.

One of the difficulties of this ministry is the instability of the government. Praise God that He is willing to send workers. May the workers of the Lord not fear the difficulties, love one another, and together of one spirit bring the gospel of Jesus Christ. Amidst this instability, people's hearts are softer and more humble. They are willing to get closer to God. May God protect these people and may His will be done.

Please pray for the 65 people in discipleship training. May the Lord give them wisdom enabling then to understand the truth correctly and know Christ and may their faith and love for the Lord grow daily, so later, they can correctly handle the word of truth to teach other people. May they also live holy and righteous lives to become good role models for other believers.
