To a growing percentage of Khamba families, the big city is becoming the ideal place to settle down, even if only for certain periods of the year (like winter!).  There are multiple reasons for this including better education opportunities for their children, a much bigger market for business and a more comfortable lifestyle.

PRAY:

• As Kham people are displaced from their strong cultural/religious environments to a more cosmopolitan setting, their hearts would be more vulnerable to receive the seed of God’s word.
• Those who have heard the gospel and are considering the cost of following Christ would see clearly that trusting in Christ does NOT mean turning from their ethnic identity.  The One true God created them Tibetan!  And He created them to worship His Son!  Pray the wonder of this truth would seize Tibetan Christian hearts and produce thankful people with Godly boldness.
• A vibrant church would be established by the living Christ among these urban Khamba that would take the Gospel to places where the name of Christ has never been heard.
• Student ministry would bear eternal fruit and these young people would present their bodies as “living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.”(Rom.12:2)
