Growing the Mien Church
Pray for an older couple Mr.GH and Mrs.MD who are in their early 60’s. Ask that more of that age group will be saved and that there will be better communication between them and the younger church members

Please pray for Pastor GE and his family. It is a big challenge to establish a minority people group church in a large city. Besides his pastoral and evangelistic ministries, he sells soybean milk at the night market in order to support his family. Pray as he seeks to be self-supporting until the church is large enough to support him. Pray he will be an example and encouragement to other Mien who feel they can not do church work because of lack of financial support.

Praise the Lord for His blessing on the first Couples’ Retreat to be held amongst the Mien in Thailand. 60 Mien couples from Mien churches in Thailand attended and there were some Mien couples from the USA. There were also a few non-Christian couples present. The seminar was greatly appreciated. For many this was the first in depth teaching they had received on Christian marriage. Pray for lasting fruit. This is a very needy area in Christian Mien families.

Mien Bible Translation
Proof reading is moving along but progress is slow. Praise the Lord that the translator’s eyes seem to be gradually clearing so that she can read for longer stretches of time.

Children and Youth ministry
Mr. T, who oversees the boys at the hostel, is planning to go to Bible College in May. Please pray for him in this further preparation for ministry. Pray too for another young Mien man to replace him – one who knows God’s clear call to this vital ministry with the hostel boys.
