At TG Village just one of the 3 who expressed interest in believing prayed to receive Jesus as Savior. The husband of the lady who seemed close to believing, wanted to join another sect who give out money and did not allow his wife to believe. The other young man never came to find out how to become a Christian but he is still attending services.
- Please pray for the young man who believed that he will experience the presence of the Lord in his daily life and have a hunger and thirst for the things of God.
- Pray for the other 2 that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in their hearts to draw them to Jesus.
Twelve years ago L, a deaf and dumb girl, started in a Deaf and Dumb School. L did well and was always near the top of her class. She has now finished her last year of high school and is back in the village helping with the field work. She would love to go on studying but even if she got into university and ended up with a degree, it would not help as apparently there just are no openings for deaf and dumb people in this country to obtain any employment other than jobs like being a cleaner in a hotel.
- The Lord has got something in store for her. Please pray for God to make a way for L.
Translation
The translator’s laptop crashed two days before going to see the translation computer programmer last week. Despite computer problems, electrical power cuts, email not working etc. we continue on. There were similar spiritual attacks before the NT was completed and it is not surprising that Satan is so busy now that the whole Mien Bible is nearing completion.
- Much prayer is needed. Pray for the Lord’s protection over GF and those working with him doing the final proof-reading. Pray too for His protection over the computers and equipment.
