I don't understand why Granny L experiences incredible disturbances consistently after midnight - disturbances such as the opening and closing of doors when she knows she is alone in the house.  When we go and pray with her she sleeps really well for a few nights but then these noises begin soon afterward. 

• Pray that the Lord will reveal if there is something specific that we need to know about the situation so that there will be lasting peace in Granny's home.

Mien CD
 ‘Oh dear, the words aren’t very clear.  Let’s try again.’ (An 18 year old girl) 
‘Surely we can sing better than that!’  (A 30 year old woman) 
‘Can we record this song again?’  (A 45 year old man)

These were the words of Mien listening to their own singing when they were recording the hymns and songs to make a CD of the new revised Mien hymnbook. These Mien were not trained professionals but ordinary people - children, teenagers and older people.  Some were students, many were farmers, but all wanted to do their very best to produce a really good CD.

At RM church they said,’ We don’t know many of these songs but if you teach us we are happy to practice and sing them.’  They did.  They sang from 9 o’clock in the morning till 10 o’clock at night every day for 4 days until they almost lost their voices!

Our common vision was that our singing should inspire Mien Christians everywhere to praise and worship God.
 
So far, out of a total of 546, we have recorded more than 200 songs.  To date 3 churches and 4 individuals doing solos and duets have been involved in the recording.  Two volunteer accompanists from Japan have helped.  Other Mien churches and soloists will be involved, with 3 more accompanists coming from Japan, so that the recording can be continued. 

• May it result in the extension of God’s Kingdom!

Hot Season Evangelistic Outreach 
During the hot season break (March to May) Mr.G and Pastor SZ will lead an evangelistic team from the church to one or two Mien villages where they did evangelism last Christmas.

• Pray that this follow-up ministry will bear fruit.

Mien Annual Conferences
Please continue to focus prayer on the 2 annual conferences coming this month.  The Mien Church Family Conference. The theme is the work of the church.  The Mien Young Peoples’ Camp is in April. Many of the young people who attend are non-Christians.  Please pray for these 2 conferences that God’s Word will change peoples’ lives. 

• Pray that the speakers will know the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Mien Hymnbooks and Topical Concordance
2,700 more of the pocket sized hymnbooks have just been printed.  There are several thousand New Testaments and hymnbooks waiting to go out. 

• Pray that God will provide the couriers.

   
Pray for uninterrupted time to be able to make good progress with the Topical Concordance. 

• Pray for God’s wisdom in grouping verses together under headings and to be able to choose the most appropriate verses that will guide and assist the church leaders who have no other Bible aids.

Mien/Yao Bible
We are working hard to complete the remaining books needing to be checked.  We are up to Philippians in the NT and have one set of suggested corrections for the books between Psalms and Malachi that we have not yet had opportunity to go through.  As books are completed we are also trying to get them fully and correctly formatted and ready for a final proof reading by a few people who are able to fit this essential work into their schedules.

Please pray that we will be able - if at all possible, to 'catch' anything that is amiss before  the final typesetting in late June.
