Of the 10 baptized, the change in Mr. NT had been the most dramatic.  He had stolen from the church money held by his father.  This he repaid.  He had started to read his Bible and pray.  Wherever he went he sought to witness for the Lord.  He was actively seeking to help people in need.

When we arrived back his face told it all.  ‘I feel as if I have no faith left’, he said.  He had not been well.  His new baby son had also not been well and had had to be taken down to the hospital 5 times.  The baby had been crying at night.  They had had very little sleep.  An old Christian lady in the village had had a stomach bug and looked close to death’s door.  Another Christian had fallen badly bruising her ribs.  It was very painful.  The non-Christians in the village were encouraging her to do spirit worship.  Yes, Satan had been counterattacking – very effectively.

Spiritually, Mr. NT is now more back on an even keel.  The doctor at the hospital feels that he is overanxious.  This is certainly true but it is also true that he has had a lot of pain from a stomach ulcer. The doctor has assured him that he does not have cancer.  Please continue to support by prayer the 5 ladies who were baptised and are learning to read.  The Thai Mien script is really hard to master but they can do it if they are sufficiently motivated.  The Thai teacher at the village school is helping them.  It would make such a difference in their lives if they could read God’s Word for themselves but for adults becoming literate in the Thai Mien script is a very high hurdle to jump.

The annual Mien Church Family Conference is March and the Young Peoples’ Camp is April.  These can make a tremendous impact on the lives of those who attend.  A good proportion of those who go to the YPs’ Camp are not Christians.  It is not too early to start praying for these 2 conferences – for God’s preparation for those who attend and those who will speak.  As we pray God will do great things.

Thank you for your prayers for the hymn recording project.  The recording session went well and resulted in 66 songs being recorded.  Please also pray especially that the recording sessions will encourage the singers to worship God joyfully, with a reverent awareness of His presence and with a deeper understanding of the words they are singing.
