Recently 4 people working on the Khmu Bible translation met for a week in a little town in the hills of northern Thailand. They worked on doing team revisions of the Khmu translation of Luke.
It was a refreshing time. They were able to work in a place away from prying eyes, a place with cooler breezes and with quietness – the only sound coming from the crickets - and to be away from the normal responsibilities and distractions of daily life – like email access and the phone. They came away refreshed and encouraged by the progress they were able to make.
Please pray:
- Please pray for S and T as they continue with revising Luke, that they would make the translation clear, accurate and natural. Please continue to pray for physical and spiritual protection over them and their young children.
- Pray for S as he writes explanatory notes for key terms such as Messiah, hell, and baptism.
- K has resumed studying English. Pray for courage to speak and understanding of all those difficult English tenses. (Khmu has no tenses on verbs.) His fiancée attended the Khmu youth conference at Easter. Pray that she will grow in her faith and obedience
