Miss Yang told
this story, “I went to a revival meeting in the south. When
I got there I heard of a man who had once been a church
leader. When he and his church were pressured to deny
their faith in the mid-90’s Mr. Sang was the first to sign
his name. Naturally those under his pastoral
leadership signed out of their faith as well. Soon
after this event Mr. Sang became remorseful. He began to
curse himself and drink. Little by little he lost his
mind and could no longer hold down his teaching job in the
public school. He became violent toward his wife who
had continued to worship the Lord quietly over the
years.”
Miss Yang continued. “At the revival meeting I heard about Mr. Sang and I wanted so badly to see him. His wife said he would not come, but I prayed I could meet him and help restore him to the Lord. On the last day someone told me had arrived. I hurried outside to talk with him. I said, ‘Mr. Sang, you need to receive Jesus as your Savior.’ He replied, ‘I can’t. I am so horrible. I signed my name to deny Jesus.’ He cried and carried on. Every time I asked him to pray to receive Jesus he would start speaking about how awful he was. I realized that due to Mr. Sang’s remorse and drinking he had become troubled by an evil spirit. I kept asking him to receive Jesus until finally he tried very hard to pray along with me. He could barely get the words out, but when he said ‘Amen’ I knew he had come back to the Lord.
“After that the local believers prayed for him and together they told the demon to leave him. After we prayed together I had to leave, but in November I heard news that he has stopped smoking and drinking. He is a new man. He tells everyone how much Jesus has done for him. It’s such a miracle of God’s grace.”
