Many Lao participated in the 40 day fast during the first 40 days of 2005 and saw God at work.

 

One group invited 30 factory workers to see the Jesus film, 25 of whom prayed to receive Christ that night!

 

A woman who’d previously been hardened to the gospel and made life very difficult for her Christian siblings repented, asked forgiveness of those she’d wronged and is avidly reading the Bible.

 

Lao Christians said that these kinds of responses weren’t normal and should be attributed to God moving in answer to the prayer focus of the past month.

• Lao nationals to be the ones promoting and facilitating the annual 40-day fast every January, rather than it being something expatriates initiate.
• Pray for God’s blessing on the nation as His people seek Him.
