The beginners' translation workshop went well.  Several Khmu men participated who look to be able to help with community checking and revising and drafting.

The consultant check on the first few chapters of Luke into Khmu was encouraging.  Some areas needed changing, but on the whole it was a good translation.  S and T are getting into a routine now and are determined to speed up the pace.  They are employing T's younger brother to help with typing, which frees T to work more on translation.  We continue to look out for someone else to help them with drafting.

• Praise God the consultant assessed the translation of the first few chapters of Luke as good quality, a great encouragement to the team.

Requests

• Please continue to pray for protection over S and T and their family as they seek to press on with the work of translation.  Pray that God would fill them with His Spirit, and give them skill and insight to do this work, as He did for those building the tabernacle (Ex 31:3).
• Pray that God would call out those needed, whether from outside of Laos or from inside Laos, to be involved in translation.  Pray too for another Khmu person to be recruited to the team.
