Mr. SS Disappears - and Reappears after over a month!
Mr. SS disappeared on July 17, 2005. He got an invitation from the deputy of the district governor of the HS who is working with social service based on retirement department.  They invited SS to talk to him about his retirement fund and about his bamboo church. Before SS left home he told his wife, "If I get arrested and put in prison then I will send you a letter and inform you. If you do not see my letter I will go to MVK to visit my relatives there."

 

Then Mr. SS disappeared and those looking for him could not find him. He has now reappeared. He went to visit some relatives in a remote village to find people in serious need of food. Mr. SS spent all the money he had to buy food for the villagers. Since he had no money left he had no way of traveling back home or of sending news of where he was and what he was doing. He stayed in the village until he was able to return - more than a month after he disappeared!

 

Please keep Mr. S and Mrs. T in your prayers as they face a number of difficult issues in their community.

• They continue to work on drafting Luke and are up to Chapter 14.  Pray for their protection and for wisdom in their daily work.
• Due to Mr. S's imprisonment it was decided best for them not to travel for the consultant check of Luke 1-8 planned for end of August. The hope is to re-schedule this for early next year if a consultant is free.  Pray that they will be freer to travel by then.
• Mr. K is growing in his ability to read and write his own language.  Pray for the two hours he spends every morning reviewing the gospel of Luke. Pray he will do a good job in turning the draft into natural and clear Khmu and pray that it will speak to his heart as well.
• Please pray for Mrs. A currently working on a Khmu grammar description. She is behind - pray for energy to catch up and insight into how Khmu works.
