Khmu Quick Facts:
-Indigenous inhabitants of Northern Laos
-3% Christian population out of 525,000
-Settled agriculturalists who practice  swidden farming
-Found mainly in the Luang Prabang and  Xieng Khouang Provinces of Laos
Thank God that all the Khmu prisoners were released except BC and Y. 17 Christian families, 106 people, were evicted from their village on February 6, 2005 because of their faith. 11 Christians were taken from their village. The persecution is ongoing in Laos . Please pray for those 7 Christian families in NH village again, where the authorities are waiting to evict them.

Good news! The Khmu outreach in V is fruitful. From January to half of March  there were 23 people who accepted Jesus, and 19 of them have been baptized.  Praise God! They have Bible study at the Khmu house church, and each time it is not less than 28 people, who come from various companies, and they stay overnight there, and on Sunday morning they go to the big church.  All of them are young people. Praise God!

Good news! A young man named S came to our seminar two times. We gave him a radio tape CD player. He called me in March gave a good report that he has led 5 families and about 30 people to Jesus through listening to the cassette messages. Right now he does not know how to nurture them spiritually.  He is just depending on the cassette messages and radio broadcasting.  Please pray for them!

Response to Khmu Christian Radio and Cassettes
From January to March 930 letters were received from listeners. 215 people have accepted Jesus Christ, and 19 people have been baptized.  From the 3 seminars, January to March, we have received 12,879 baht from our listeners, we have trained 238 people, given out 920 cassette messages, many songs, about 180 small radios, 48 radio tape players, 17 CD tape players, 1800 Khmu hymn books, thousands of literature, Bible lessons, teaching materials, and about 180 Bibles--both Thai and Lao--have been distributed throughout 3 months.  We thank God and the donors who have provided these materials.

In February KT, who is living in Laos,  after listening to the Khmu Christian radio program based on Romans 6:23 sent me a 4 page letter. Here is an excerpt:
“I love your messages both on the air and cassette message as well. I keep 14 units of your cassette messages and each of them are really good and they are helping me a lot spiritually. I come to this point today because I am depending on your radio program and cassette messages.  I would not let anyone take them away, but one time there was a man who was not a Christian who visited me.  I let him listen to the cassette messages and he was persistently asking to take one of them to his village, so then I gave it to him.”  From KT March 2005.
