A Miao worker shares this experience:

While visiting a small village, a friend told the worker that many years ago some foreigners had visited the area to help with a construction project.   One young man from the village often went there and heard about God from some of the workers who were Christians.

Four years ago there was great drought in the area.  Crops were dying, and people were in distress.  An old man in the town  (the same one who had many years before learned of God) gathered the villagers, told them about God and instructed them to sacrifice an animal to Him and pray. So that’s what they did.   The next day, rains came and ended the drought.

Though the old man has since died, those villagers will sometime still pray to God when their animals are sick; within a few days the animals are better.

They know this God loves them.   But they don’t know the whole story.  They don’t know about Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice.
