Young Woman Hears
A Miao worker shares this experience:

As a group of prayer walkers set out on a 5-day trip, the worker was impressed to pack a Bible in her backpack—in spite of security concerns.

En route to visit a particular Miao home, the group met a 17-year-old girl on the bus.   Call her Clara.   She invited them to her home which was located in a village none of them had ever visited.  In prayer, they felt God said, “Go.”

The worker writes:  “I shared with her some about God and how He made the mountains.  But she got sick and threw up out the window.   Hopeful that she would be interested once we were on stable ground, we shared more with her in her home village.   She was so interested that we talked until close to midnight.”

After hearing stories from Genesis to Jesus, Clara said, “I want to know the God who made me.”

And she made the choice to accept Christ.

The Bible in the backpack?  The worker was able to leave it with Clara.   Though there is not a Bible in this Miao language, Clara was one of the few people in the village able to read and understand the language in which the backpack Bible was written.
